Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, and best-selling author of The Purpose Driven Life, hosted a forum with Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama on Saturday. The forum, which included a nearly standard list of questions for both candidates, offered the chance for America to see McCain and Obama provide answers to the same questions. This forum has sparked a media frenzy of analysis of each candidate’s answers and approaches in the event, and has helped many people to develop a more in-depth understanding of both. Some major issues discussed by the candidates were abortion, same-sex marriage, the definition of “rich”, and making difficult decisions.
